Robin Jessome Creative Orchestra
The ensemble's repertoire consists mostly of original compositions by Robin Jessome (also Steve Bagnell, Joel Kerr and Natalie Robinson); spontaneous 'conductions' and collectively improvised collaborations. Drawing on the influence of Carla Bley, Anthony Braxton, William Parker, Michael Mantler, Butch Morris, and Charles Mingus the ensemble presents a rare outlet for large-scale improvisation.
